Defended a Hospital System Accused of Failing to Timely Diagnose a Patient's Cancer

Overview

Amundsen Davis represented a hospital system alleged to have been responsible for the actions of a non-employed physician who is alleged of failing to timely diagnose a patient’s cancer. After eliciting favorable testimony from the plaintiff at deposition regarding how the patient selected her treating physician, we filed a successful motion for summary judgment on the issues of actual and apparent agency. The case was dismissed as to our hospital client, and continued against other remaining defendants.
