Overview

Amundsen Davis represented a nursing home in a case involving an allegation that a nurse was intoxicated by THC while lifting a resident using a Hoyer lift. After an extensive internal investigation involving witness statements and a review of the patient’s care plan and physician orders, it became clear that a jealous colleague had falsely made the allegation against another colleague. A survey was conducted, and the nursing home was found to be compliant with all state and federal standards. There were no complaints against the professional licenses of the nurses or the facility involved. The investigation was closed by an Indiana Attorney General Investigator.
