Represented a Hospital System Alleged of Negligently Administering a Tube Feeding to which the Patient was Known to be Allergic
Overview
Amundsen Davis represented a hospital system alleged of negligently administering a tube feeding to which the patient was known to be allergic, resulting in the patient’s death. During the course of discovery, our experts proved that the tube feed product did not have time to reach the patient’s stomach prior to the allegedly fatal allergic reaction. Although the jury awarded a multi-million dollar verdict, we successfully had the verdict overturned on appeal based on the absence of sufficient causation evidence. JNOV was granted in favor of our hospital, and was upheld on appeal.
