Secured a Settlement for a LASIK Surgeon who Received a Series of Fraudulent Negative Google Reviews

Brinton Resto and his team represented a LASIK surgeon who discovered a series of fraudulent Google reviews with elaborate, yet implausible, accounts of negative experiences. Suspecting the reviews were fabricated, they issued subpoenas to Google to obtain the associated IP addresses. After securing a court order to release the internet service subscriber’s information, they traced the IP addresses to the new employer of a former employee of our client. Confronting the former employee led to a settlement that included reimbursement for the client’s attorney’s fees.
