Gini L. Hendrickson Appointed to City of Milwaukee Ethics Board

Gini L. Hendrickson was appointed to the City of Milwaukee Board of Ethics by Mayor Cavalier Johnson. The appointment was confirmed unanimously at the September 24 Common Council meeting.

The ethics board implements the City of Milwaukee’s ethics code, which was adopted in 1977 for its elected officials, supervisory personnel, and boards and commissions. To preserve high ethical standards of city government, the board issues confidential advisory opinions, investigates sworn complaints, and requires and reviews financial statements.

Gini was nominated to the board by the Milwaukee Bar Association, which was soon after approved by the mayor. Gini appeared before the City of Milwaukee Judiciary & Legislation Committee to deliver a statement on September 16 and the motion to recommend for confirmation prevailed unanimously.
