Forming a limited liability company is getting a little cheaper in Illinois under a new state law. In an article recently published in Cook County Record, Karen Tobin discusses how the new law will encourage businesses to stay in Illinois, and bring new business and employment opportunities to the state. In the article, Karen comments on the reduction in fees stating, “Illinois had one of the most expensive filing and maintenance fee system for the LLCs previous to these changes.” She goes on to explain how those with an LLC or those forming an LLC will benefit from this law.
