Larry James Discusses Gateway Film Foundation’s Black History Month 2025 Program With Columbus Underground
Overview
To celebrate Black History Month, the Gateway Film Center is hosting a program with a curated selection of films on Black culture and history. Columbus Underground recently spoke with Larry James, GFC Board of Directors Chair, about his journey with film and work with Gateway Film Center. When discussing the opportunities afforded by film, Larry said, “I figure it’s one of the most cost-effective educational entertainment someone can consistently consume. And Gateway, with the diversity of films, it’s the most incredible educational entertainment venue I have ever seen at a price point that few institutions can match.”
The 2025 edition of Gateway Film Center’s Black History Month Program is made possible thanks to the generosity of Larry and Donna James and the Kridler Family Fund, and the ongoing support of the Greater Columbus Arts Council, The Ohio Arts Council, the Columbus Foundation, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
