Maria Dodona

Associate

Overview

Maria is no stranger to navigating unfamiliar systems and advocating for positive outcomes. Her experience as a first generation American gives her a distinct professional approach; a balance of tenacity and fairness, optimism and realism, and an understanding that there’s always more to clients than meets the eye.

Maria appreciates the fast-paced and collaborative approach to client success at Amundsen Davis. She assists the firm’s Litigation Service Group in defending clients of all sizes, from corporations and government municipalities to professional engineering firms and small businesses. Her experience includes a variety of general and professional liability disputes, including professional negligence, breach of contract, premises liability, construction accidents, and employer tort liability.

Before joining Amundsen Davis, Maria worked at a boutique Chicago firm focused on insurance coverage. She represented national and global insurance carriers in complex coverage disputes, focusing on coverage disputes under Commercial General Liability policies involving consumer class actions and long-tail environmental claims.

Maria participates in bar associations as a mentor to help law students with similar backgrounds navigate the journey and connect with like-minded individuals
