Overview
Martin joined Amundsen Davis in 2024, bringing experience in regulatory enforcement and business litigation. Before joining the firm, he served as an Enforcement Attorney in the Securities Department of the Illinois Secretary of State, where he handled complex regulatory matters.
Clients appreciate Martin’s thorough, solution-oriented approach, trusting him to explore every possible avenue to achieve the best outcome. As a member of the firm’s Banking & Finance, Business Litigation, and Real Estate service groups, he advises clients on a broad range of issues, including lending, banking regulatory compliance, contract disputes, and litigation.
Martin also has extensive experience in landlord-tenant law, assisting clients with lease agreements, housing code compliance, eviction proceedings, and other related matters.
Outside of his legal practice, Martin is passionate about giving back to the community. He volunteers with special needs individuals and legal aid organizations, using his skills to support those in need.

The Interchange Fee Prohibition Act (IFPA), signed into law in June of 2024 by Illinois Governor J.B. Pritzker, prohibits banks, savings associations, credit union, and others from receiving or charging an interchange fee on the tax and gratuity (tips) portions of debit and credit transactions, as well as placing restrictions on the use or transmittal of electronic payment transactions data.
