Debra Mastrian recently published an article in the March/April 2020 issue of Hoosier Banker Magazine titled “FMLA Interference: When Does an Employer Cross the Line?”

In the article, Debra discusses the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA) which entitles eligible employees of covered employers to take unpaid, job-protected leave for certain specified family and medical reasons. Debra provides employers with case law and prime examples of the two kinds of causes of action: retaliation/ discrimination and interference.
