Successfully Defended an Emergency Medical Services Provider in Four Separate Lawsuits

Amundsen Davis successfully defended an emergency medical services (EMS) provider in four (4) separate lawsuits filed by the same plaintiff’s firm alleging negligence arising out of emergency and non-emergency medical transports from assisted living facilities to the hospital and/or medical appointments. We were able to obtain dismissal for our client following Motions to Dismiss, multiple Motions to Dismiss and/or based voluntary dismissal with prejudice, using arguments based on the Healing Arts Malpractice Act and Illinois EMS Act. Our efforts to defend our client on the merits allowed us to protect our client from being named in additional lawsuits and to not allow our client to become a source of settlement funds.
