Ahead of Tuesday’s election, Jeff Risch appeared on Chicago Tonight to examine a state constitutional amendment facing Illinois voters. The amendment known as “Workers' Rights Amendment” would codify Illinois workers’ right to organize and bargain collectively. It has proven to be divisive and will have a major effect on the state. For Jeff, the amendment is a “clear no” given the vagueness of the language used regarding “economic welfare.” He also added, “Make no mistake, this is all about protecting, trying to protect big labor, and allow them to seize more control in Springfield, thereby raising taxes on every working household throughout the state of Illinois.”

Jeff was joined by Marc Poulos, executive director of the Indiana, Illinois, Iowa Foundation for Fair Contracting for the discussion.
