In 2016, the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) instituted a rule that would increase minimum wage requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). Luckily, a federal judge shot down the rule. It would have had a devastating effect on operators. But, unfortunately in March, 2019 the DOL proposed a similar rule regarding overtime.
