The new Paid Leave for All Workers Act (the “Act”) will take effect on January 1, 2024, and will require Illinois employers to offer a minimum of 40 hours of paid leave to every employee for a 12-month period. While there is time to get ready, it is important for manufacturing employers to start preparing now by checking their current polices and understanding the Act’s purpose. Jeff Risch’s article “Illinois’ New Paid Leave Mandate Impacting All Manufacturing Workers,” in The Illinois Manufacturer Magazine, explains what’s in the Act, who is affected, and what is required for compliance.

The full article can be read in the Second Quarter 2023 issue of The Illinois Manufacturer, starting on page 20.
